Working out whether you are eligible for training can differ depending on your personal circumstances. If you have registered and filled out your form, you will be given a list of what training or back to work programmes are available to you.

What age do I have to be?

The age criteria states you must be 19-64.

I live outside of London?

Unfortunately the courses are only for people who live in London.

Does it matter what London borough I live in?

There are currently no limits on which borough you live in.

Does my Employment status matter?

There are different courses that are either available or not available depending on your current status. We have indivdual pages with the courses available for Employed/ Unemployed/ Volunteer/ Those made redundant.

Is there any other support available?

Yes. We are here to help you find meaningful work through training or one of our other work programmes.

Project Project Summary

Experience Works is an exciting programme of individualised support to help mature unemployed Londoners find work, take up training or start a business.

Wise Owls Redundancy to Re-employment  project  is designed to support people who have been made redundant or unemployed in the past 6 months.  It is for people who live in he following South London boroughs: Bromley, Bexley, Lewisham, Southwark, Lambeth, Croydon, Sutton and Merton.

Promoting Age Diversity, (PAD) is a Wise Owls campaign funded by Trust for London to ensure that older workers are appreciated, hired and kept on by employers of all sectors as part of a commitment to age diversityin the employment of staff.

 

I'm on Jobseekers allowance does that matter?

You are still able to train but make sure you go to our unemployed section and ring for absolute confirmation on 0207 278 8553 and ask for training.

What are accredited certificates?

We can provide technical certificates for occupational areas, which can then lead to an NVQ. However, in order to start an the NVQ you would need a work placement or gain employment.
