I am a professional administrator with extensive experience in administrative and facilities management roles. I am a reliable and trustworthy worker with a practical approach. An effective team member, who is able to work under pressure for long periods of time, I enjoy working flexible hours and also like to face new and difficult challenges using my own initiative. When problem solving, my abilities, both theoretical and practical enable me to work from first principles to bring about effective solutions. I have an eye for detail whilst maintaining an overall view of tasks. Seeking a position, that will utilise these abilities to the full.

• Partnership working & organisational skills I was Operational Lead for the planning, development, validation, co-ordination and delivery of the ground breaking and innovative Assistant Practitioner Foundation Degree that included Health, Education and Social Care elements, winning the 2008 Skills for Care Accolade for most effective practice in workforce development across partner agencies for LBR Children’s Trust in partnership with London South Bank University. To achieve an Accolade proves an organisation's success in achieving the highest standards of workforce development within social care. I embraced this and other challenges with the knowledge, experience and determination required to drive development of projects forward to fruition working to stringent deadlines. As such, I am exceptionally able to prioritise, monitor and evaluate set objectives, to think and act strategically taking a holistic approach to ensure development of robust implementation plans that ensure high quality service delivery. • Highly self-motivated & experienced I set up and have been running a very successful training & development company for the last 10 years with a 90% success rate in NVQ levels 1-4. As such I am exceptionally capable of working on my own initiative, exercising autonomy while continuing to actively work as part of a team. I was contracted by local authorities to run a variety of training programmes and have developed & delivered bespoke training. I liaised with various departments, undertaking Training Needs Analysis to ensure training delivered met needs and required standards, including all professional practices. I managed the Internal and External Verification process for the Examining Boards and the bi-annual inspections gaining the highest score awardable in the last 4 inspections. However due to the recent Spending Review funding for training within local government has been cut. • Financial management & problem solving I am focused and able to improvise as required, being solution orientated to any problem that may arise, a necessity in order to work within limited financial budgets during my time within local authorities and managing ELHAP where I was able to secure major funding from a number of streams. I managed large budgets including Learning & Skills Council, Transformation and Graduate Leader Funds. • Excellent communication skills I have engaged and motivated reluctant learners and those with learning disabilities. I have developed teaching & learning strategies to meet full individual learning needs. I prepared and presented reports on complex matters in an articulate and comprehensible manner and style appropriate to subject or audience. • Commitment I was a member of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board Executive Safeguarding Group for Training & Development. I was one of three founding members of Redbridge Play Association. I collaborated on the Children & Young People’s Workforce Strategy. I have worked with a variety of vulnerable groups such as Roma gypsies, children in need, and children & young people with disabilities and complex medical needs. • Management skills I have led a variety of teams and managed on occasion 30+ staff within Training, Children’s Centres and ELHAP being able to lead, empower and motivate, to establish effective performance measures and a performance culture that achieves corporate and service objectives and to create and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally. While continuing to manage the training centre, I also managed Loxford & Mildmay Children’s Centres on an interim basis for a year, ensuring that service provision met the needs of the local community as well as the Every Child Matters Performance Indicators. I engaged with a variety of stakeholders such as PCT to run groups including breastfeeding support, anti/post natal and child health clinics and Job Centre Plus supporting placement of unemployed clients into volunteering roles and provision of ESOL classes so that service delivery met all aims, objectives and outcomes. I have managed both small and large groups of volunteers embracing the fundamental principles of volunteering - choice, diversity, reciprocity & recognition.
