Wise Owls - the UK's first and leading Baby Boomer website offering employment and self-employment opportunities alongside information and business support to 45-65 year olds - is now seeking partners in applying for Article Six funding to support an EU-wide programme of research into ageism.
The long term aims of the project are to: promote older workers to employers; provide an integrated approach to training and job brokerage for older workers (50+); and to build an integrated website and best practice guide aimed at developing older worker organisations in every EU member state.
Wise Owls has a strong track record in accessing European, UK national and local funding in areas such as: employment research; ageism and social exclusion; gauging the attitudes and experiences of employers and job-seekers; marketing and promoting the benefits of employing older workers; Information, Advice and Guidance(IAG) generally for older people; training in IT, employment and business start-up for older people; job-brokerage with employers; business consultancy, support and IAG to Small and Medium Enterprises, social enterprises and new business 'grey' enterpreneurs. We also provide PR, news, comment, opinion polls and campaign management.
